Designing Elegance

Strada del Sole

Twenty grams. That's all you should feel.

Client: Strada del Sole

The challenge

Premium sunglasses have a problem. The ones that look beautiful are often heavy enough to remind you they're there. The ones that are lightweight often look like they're trying too hard to be technical. Strada del Sole wanted both: a collection that felt like almost nothing on your face but looked like everything.

Twenty grams. That was the target. Not as a compromise. As the entire point.

Research / ergonomics / material exploration

The approach

We studied how faces actually carry weight. Where pressure builds over hours. Where a frame needs rigidity and where it needs to give. The engineering wasn't about making sunglasses lighter by making them thinner. It was about understanding where every gram was being spent and whether it earned its place.

The design draws from two cultures known for refinement: Swiss precision and Italian ease. Not blended into a middle ground, but held in tension. Structure meets softness. Engineering meets style. Each pair looks effortless because of the effort that went into making it so.

Final collection

The result

A collection that proves lightweight and luxury aren't opposites. Strada del Sole occupied a premium eyewear space that didn't exist before they asked the question.

Strada del Sole. Twenty grams of conviction.
